The purpose of the site is to allow local citizens to share their tribal knowledge. Initial focus of this site is Peoria, IL followed closely by the Quad Cities (Moline, Rock Island, Davenport, Bettendorf) and surrounding areas

Initial concept of the website started in 1997 as a for sale by owner listing site with virtual guided tours (pictures and video) of the property for sale. This market has become quite crowded, but with the advent of standardized tools, we may resurrect this function also.

We may also expand into autos, and anything else someone might want to sell to other locals.

The site will not attempt to compete directly with EBay, or any other classifieds site but complement them. We will encourage users to share their knowledge of other sites and businesses. Yes, this will to some extent aid in information overload on the internet by providing another parallel channel for people to get lost while searching and googling, but hopefully will also present a hub to guide those users on their way.
